Island nations in Africa

There are six African island nations which are Cape Verde, Madagascar, Comoros, São Tomé and Príncipe, Seychelles, and Mauritius. Each of them is a sovereign nation in their own independent rights. These African island countries are quite famous for their captivating and awe-striking beauty and deserve to be added to your bucket list. Cape Verde or Cabo Verde.

The Comoros is an archipelago country off Africa’s east coast. Moroni is the capital city. Comorian, French and Arabic are official languages. Comoros can compete with other Indian Ocean islands on looks – white sand beaches, clear seas and voluptuous volcanic landscapes – but also offers cultural riches, with a blend of Arab, African and French influences. Add in the presence of sea turtles almost year round, lemurs and highly endangered and enormous Livingstone’s fruit bats, plus wonderful hiking, whale watching and snorkelling and it doesn’t make sense that Comoros remains off the tourist map, but it does make sense to visit now, before everyone catches on.

Seychelles

Republic of Seychelles is an archipelagic country consisting of 115 islands off Africa’s east coast.Victoria is the capital city. French, Seychellois Creole and English are the official languages.
